Shepard's delightful b&w drawings add sparks of energy to this collection of children's poems. The look and feel of this book's contents is similar to A.A. Milne's and E.H. Shepard's When We Were Very Young, no doubt having been inspired by that book's immense success when it was published the year before this title.
