How do I play a zoo downloaded from steam workshop?

I found the most beautiful zoo on and learned it is dowloadable in the steam workshop. I did that. Opened my game, but that zoo wasn't under "my zoos". I googled and managed to find the downloaded file called "item". How do I get this "item" into my game? Any help greatly appreciated!
