EA to Publish a AAA Koei Tecmo / Omega Force Fantasy Hunting Game

EA looks set to take on Monster Hunter with its newest announcement. As part of its EA Originals program (It Takes Two, Lost in Random), the company has partnered with Japanese publisher Koei Tecmo and its internal studio Omega Force to create “the next great hunting game.” The companies are touting this unnamed new IP as a AAA game set in feudal fantasy Japan. Speaking about the hunting game project, EA Partners General Manager Jeff Gamon said Omega Force has “elevated the hunting genre to the next level, merging their proven talent for combat gameplay with unexpected and innovative mechanics.” […]
