Parents could soon have a window into their children’s classrooms. A new bill up for debate this legislative session (HB 1055) would allow school districts to adopt policies that lead to installing cameras in classrooms and requiring teachers in the classrooms to wear microphones. Cameras would be installed in the front of classrooms for both video and audio recording of most areas, and school districts would have to notify parents and teachers before installing the cameras.
